Mission Quilters
The Mission Quilters of Zion spent Wednesday morning, December 7, sorting items they had made to be given away. The following organizations were recipients of their efforts.
Women’s Shelter – 6 quilts
Lutheran World Relief – 6 quilts
Hospice – 5 quilts
Dorothy Day House – 6 quilts
LSS/Youth Services – 13 quilts, 6 mats made from plastic bags
Salvation Army – 10 quilts, 1 fleece blanket, 23 fleece caps, 10 knitted caps, 9 pair adult fleece mittens
Stewartville Care Center – 9 quilts
Von Wald Group Home – 8 quilts
Transplant House – 2 quilts
Olmsted County Victim Services – 12 quilts, 5 baby quilts
This is in addition to 35 quilts, 7 plastic mats and 81 kitty pillows (for Paws & Claws) donated to various organizations throughout the year.
